Soul Knight Defense launches Android early access in HK, TW, Macau
ChillyRoom released Soul Knight Defense, a tower-defense entry in the Soul Knight series, as a paid Android early access test in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau.
ChillyRoom has released Soul Knight Defense on Android early access in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau. The title is a tower-defense entry in the Soul Knight series and is available as a paid closed beta on the Google Play Store in those regions.
The game uses pixel-art visuals and features characters from previous Soul Knight releases. Players recruit knights, assemble teams and defend against waves of enemies across stages. Each run presents different stage layouts, enemy patterns and upgrade options.
Gameplay asks players to adapt to each encounter by choosing sustained damage, explosive attacks or defensive setups. Class combinations, weapons and skills can be mixed to create team compositions. Defeated bosses can be recruited and added to the player roster for use in later waves.
The early access build includes more than 18 unique maps, hundreds of stages and over 70 bosses. Enemies appear in large waves and attacks increase in intensity across later stages.
Outside combat, players manage a Knight Home where they place furniture, unlock upgrades and customize a base that grants bonuses for future runs. The home system includes idle reward elements that provide progression when the player is not actively running stages.
ChillyRoom launched the title as a paid closed beta and confirmed that all top-up purchases made during testing will be returned after the official launch in the form of in-game currency.
The developer has not provided details on an iOS version or a global rollout. Eligible Android users in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau can download the game from the Google Play Store.
Soul Knight Defense follows Soul Knight and Soul Knight Prequel and shifts the franchise from action-focused roguelike gameplay to strategy-focused tower defense while retaining the series’ pixel-art style and recurring characters.
