Spawn Joins Diablo Immortal on Sept. 29, 2026

Spawn will join Diablo Immortal on Sept. 29, 2026 as part of Patch 5.1 ‘Made to Suffer.’ More details will be revealed at BlizzCon on Sept. 13.

Blizzard Entertainment and Spawn creator Todd McFarlane will add Spawn to Diablo Immortal on September 29, 2026. The character will arrive as part of Patch 5.1, titled ‘Made to Suffer’, and will be available in the game’s Sanctuary content.

Blizzard published key art that combines Spawn’s red-and-black design with Diablo’s demonic visuals. The studio described the collaboration as a ‘hellish’ addition and noted it is part of Diablo’s 30th anniversary activities.

Blizzard and McFarlane developed hundreds of concept pieces and artwork for the crossover. Early images indicate themed cosmetics and character skins will be included with the update. Developers say additional content details are being held for the BlizzCon presentation.

More information will be shown at BlizzCon on September 13. McFarlane will take part in a panel featuring a live Q&A, a drawing session and an artwork signing. The panel is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, September 13.

McFarlane described the project as ‘meshing their two versions of Hell together.’

Spawn first appeared in Image Comics’ Spawn #1 in 1992. The character follows Al Simmons, a former government operative who is killed, sent to Hell and returns as a Hellspawn. Spawn has appeared in comics, animation, film, toys and games.
