Lovecraftian survival horror game Stygian: Outer Gods will leave early access on Oct. 26, 2026, when its full version launches on PC through Steam and GOG.
Publisher Fulqrum Publishing and developer Misterial Games announced that the 1.0 release will complete the story that began with the early access launch in April 2025. The update will add a new chapter, puzzles, artefacts, weapons, enemies and boss encounters that are not in the early access version.
Set in the universe of Stygian: Reign of the Old Ones, the game takes place before the events of the Black Day. Players control Jack Harrison, who joins an expedition to the fog-covered settlement of Kingsport while searching for his missing father. After a shipwreck, Harrison encounters supernatural horrors that have haunted the town for centuries.
Kingsport was once a prosperous harbor and is now nearly abandoned. Players will explore its streets, a family mansion, abandoned mines, fog-covered forests and otherworldly locations. Survival involves managing limited supplies and crafting items, weapons and remedies.
A sanity system can give Harrison mental afflictions that affect gameplay. Players can develop his abilities in different ways, while some decisions have irreversible consequences. The story has branching outcomes and multiple routes through its locations.
Stygian: Outer Gods will cost $24.99. A 20% launch discount will be available when the full version releases. The game has a “Mostly Positive” rating on Steam, where 79% of 517 user reviews recommend it.
Three optional add-ons will be available: a nearly 200-page digital artbook, the official soundtrack and The Heretic’s Arsenal Pack, which contains one artefact and two melee weapons. A Deluxe Edition Bundle with the game and all three extras will be sold at a 10% discount.
