Sultan’s Game: Courtier must please mad sultan or die

Sultan’s Game, a narrative deckbuilder for iOS and Android, launches July 24. Players act as courtiers given impossible tasks by a capricious sultan; failure can mean execution.

Sultan’s Game will be released on July 24 for iOS and Android. The mobile title places players in the role of a courtier in a fictional royal court inspired by Middle Eastern settings. A sultan gives time-limited assignments; failing a task can result in the character’s execution.

The game is a story-driven deckbuilder. Players assemble decks of cards and use them to resolve short, high-stakes scenarios. Each assignment requires choosing among loyalty, alliance-building, intrigue, ordered killings or deals with supernatural forces. Choices change relationships and resources and lead to different narrative branches and multiple endings.

Gameplay focuses on ethical trade-offs and escalating consequences. Tasks are presented as brief scenarios that require selecting cards and actions to meet objectives. Some solutions depend on restraint and alliances, while others depend on manipulation or violence.

Sultan’s Game includes a roster of characters to meet and recruit and a large pool of collectible cards that alter approaches across runs. The combination of branching storylines and varied card options creates variation between playthroughs and supports replayability.

The title is aimed at players who prefer decision-driven mobile experiences and card-based strategy on phones and tablets. It pairs compact scenarios with persistent progression, allowing single-session runs and longer-term experimentation with different strategies.
