Play Super Battle Golf free on Steam through July 20
Super Battle Golf is free to play on Steam through July 20; its base price will rise to $12.99 after a 30% sale ends July 23.
Super Battle Golf is free to play on Steam through Monday, July 20, Brimstone announced, ahead of a permanent base-price increase to $12.99 after a 30% discount ends Thursday, July 23. The developer is offering a free weekend and a 30% sale that reduces the price to about $5.59 during the discount window; regional equivalents apply.
Brimstone attributed the upcoming price increase to continued growth in the game’s size and content since its February release.
A free update called Attack on City adds more than 18 new holes set in urban locations including streets, rooftops and construction zones. The update introduces interactive elements, shortcuts and a team-play option. New items include a jumbo burger that enlarges a golfer, smoke bombs that grant temporary invisibility and weather effects such as thunderstorms. Brimstone described the expansion as the largest since launch and noted the update is free for everyone.
Gameplay is simultaneous: up to eight players complete their rounds at the same time, creating direct interaction between competitors. The game combines arcade-style golf with competitive items and hazards. Players can swing a club at opponents or use pickups such as spring boots, electromagnetic shields, rocket launchers and an orbital laser. The title supports one to eight players; solo play uses a score-based system.
Steam users can try Super Battle Golf at no cost through July 20 and purchase it at the 30% discounted price through July 23. After the sale ends, the game’s standard price will be set at $12.99 or regional equivalent.
