Sword x Staff launches in Southeast Asia before webtoon tie-in

Mobile idle RPG Sword x Staff launched in Southeast Asia on Nov. 4, ahead of a Nov. 11 collaboration with the Korean webtoon Return of the Blossoming Blade.

Developed by Boltray Games, Sword x Staff uses an idle progression system that lets players advance with limited active play. The developer says the game has attracted more than 10 million players worldwide.

Players who pre-registered for the Southeast Asian launch can claim food-themed cosmetics and two region-exclusive weapon appearances: Crispy Sausage and Octopus Sausage. They can also receive the free Magic Academy skin.

The launch includes a seven-day login event open to all players, including those who did not pre-register. Sword x Staff became available in Southeast Asia on Nov. 4.

The Return of the Blossoming Blade collaboration is scheduled to begin on Nov. 11. It will add characters and other content based on the Korean webtoon.
