Take-Two to Stage GTA 6 Extended Preview as Live Show

Take-Two Interactive plans an extended Grand Theft Auto VI preview staged as a produced live presentation designed to play like a show.

Take-Two Interactive plans to present an extended preview of Grand Theft Auto VI as a live, produced presentation meant to feel like a show.

The company intends to stage the reveal as an event rather than issuing a standard trailer, with production and pacing arranged for a global live audience.

Chief Executive Strauss Zelnick described the preview as a longer, produced presentation intended to give viewers a fuller look at the game in a live format.

No firm date, runtime or detailed format has been announced. Executives did not provide specific information about gameplay features, target platforms or a release window during their remarks.

Take-Two and developer Rockstar Games plan to use a staged live event to control how material appears, provide context for segments and respond to viewers as the presentation unfolds, company executives said.

“We want to stage it as a live presentation that will feel like a show,” Zelnick said, describing the intent behind the format for the extended preview.

Grand Theft Auto VI is being developed by Rockstar Games and will be published by Take-Two. The Grand Theft Auto series has sold hundreds of millions of copies and remains a major franchise in the video game market.

Take-Two has not released follow-up details about timing, how long the extended preview will run or whether parts of the presentation will be archived for later viewing. Fans and industry observers are waiting for an official announcement that clarifies the presentation’s schedule and content.
