Take-Two Interactive will disclose Grand Theft Auto 6 pre-order numbers during its fiscal earnings call on Aug. 7.
Take-Two Interactive plans to disclose Grand Theft Auto 6 pre-order numbers on its fiscal earnings call scheduled for Aug. 7. The figures will be presented as part of the publisher’s quarterly results and investor briefing.
The company indicated the pre-order totals will be discussed during the regular earnings presentation, when executives review sales trends, revenue guidance and franchise performance. The call will be webcast and include time for questions from analysts.
Take-Two did not specify whether it will break down pre-orders by platform, region or edition. Any specific level of detail will depend on the information management chooses to provide during the presentation.
Pre-order totals are used by market participants to estimate initial consumer demand and to inform revenue projections and launch planning. The Grand Theft Auto franchise is developed by Rockstar Games and owned by Take-Two Interactive; the Grand Theft Auto name and logos are trademarks of Take-Two.
The Aug. 7 update will be included in the company’s quarterly report and investor materials released that day and will serve as an early official data point on consumer interest in the forthcoming GTA title.
