Team Spirit Wins MLBB Mid-Season Cup in Seven-Game Final

Team Spirit defeated Yangon Galacticos 4–3 to win the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid Season Cup at the Esports World Cup 2026. The final concluded after nine days of competition and is the first Mid Season Cup title for a team from the Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA) region.

Team Spirit reached the Grand Final following a lower-bracket run. After being sent to the lower bracket by Team Vamos during the group stage, Team Spirit beat Guangzhou Gaming and then went undefeated through the knockout stage to reach the Grand Final. The tournament carried a total prize pool of more than $3 million.

The best-of-seven final went the full distance. Team Spirit won the opening game, Yangon Galacticos took game two, and Team Spirit won games three and four to lead 3–1. Yangon Galacticos won games five and six to force a deciding game seven. Team Spirit closed out the series in just over 10 minutes.

Mathaios “Kid Bomba” Chatzilakos was named Sony Finals MVP for his performance in the series. Team Spirit received $1 million and 1,000 Club Championship points; Yangon Galacticos earned $500,000 and 750 points as runners-up.

Yangon Galacticos’ appearance was Myanmar’s first showing in a major Mobile Legends international final in five years. Recent international MLBB winners from Southeast Asia include Team Liquid PH, which won last year’s Mid Season Cup, and Aurora Gaming PH, which won the M7 World Championship earlier this year.
