The Alighieri Circle: Dante’s Bloodline launches Sept. 10

The Alighieri Circle: Dante’s Bloodline, a first-person psychological mystery thriller, arrives Sept. 10, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X; Switch 2 follows later in 2026.

Italian developer One O One Games and Spanish publisher Entalto Publishing will release The Alighieri Circle: Dante’s Bloodline on September 10, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X. A Nintendo Switch 2 version is planned for later in 2026. On PC the game will be offered through Steam, GOG and the Epic Games Store.

The game is priced at €19.50 / $19.99 and will have a 10% discount for the first two weeks after launch. A Steam demo is available now. The release will include localization into nine languages.

The title adapts themes from Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy into a modern psychological horror story. Players assume the role of Gabriele Alighieri, who returns to his ancestral villa to perform a ritual tied to a recurring supernatural event: every 33 years the barrier between the living world and Hell weakens. The narrative follows Gabriele as he confronts family trauma and suppressed memories.

Gameplay is presented from a first-person perspective and emphasizes exploration and story over combat. Players will search the Alighieri villa for diary pages and collectibles, enter distorted reflections and altered spaces, and piece together lost pages of the Divine Comedy. Solving esoteric riddles linked to Gabriele’s fears and family history advances the plot and reveals the bloodline’s past.

Emanuele Miccianza, creative director at One O One Games, described the studio’s reading of Dante as an inward journey. He said, “When most people think of Dante or Dante’s Inferno, they imagine something very concrete: monsters, demons, action. But when I read the Divine Comedy, I didn’t see an action story; I saw a person going through an inner journey. That became our central idea: Hell is internal.”

The developer and publisher position the title as a focused, story-first indie experience aimed at players interested in narrative and atmosphere rather than large-scale action. The Steam demo offers an early look at the game’s tone, puzzles and exploration ahead of the September release.
