The Blood of Dawnwalker Adds 60 FPS Performance Mode

Rebel Wolves confirmed a 60 FPS performance mode for PS5, PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X will arrive via a day-one patch ahead of The Blood of Dawnwalker’s Sept. 3, 2026 launch.

Rebel Wolves confirmed that The Blood of Dawnwalker will include a 60 frames-per-second performance mode on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro and Xbox Series X. The higher frame-rate option will be delivered through a day-one patch just before the game’s September 3, 2026 launch.

The studio had previously published a console performance breakdown that listed the top performance option at 40 FPS. That earlier outline reflected what the team could confidently promise at the time. Additional optimization work completed after the initial breakdown made the 60 FPS target possible for the three platforms.

On PlayStation 5 Pro the title will offer three display modes: Performance targeting 60 FPS, Balanced targeting 40 FPS and Quality targeting 30 FPS, with the Pro model also receiving overall visual enhancements. Standard PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X will offer the same three-mode structure of Performance at 60 FPS, Balanced at 40 FPS and Quality at 30 FPS. Xbox Series S will target 30 FPS only.

The Blood of Dawnwalker is scheduled to release on September 3, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 (including PS5 Pro) and Xbox Series X|S. Bandai Namco Entertainment is the publisher for the title.

Rebel Wolves noted the decision to add the 60 FPS option followed further testing and engineering after the initial performance figures were shared. The studio confirmed the day-one patch will enable the higher frame-rate performance mode on the specified consoles at launch.
