Netflix Games will launch The Conjuring: Unspoken exclusively on Oct. 13. The narrative-driven horror game is set in the supernatural universe of The Conjuring franchise and is designed for smartphones.

Players take the role of demonologist Francesca Noakes and investigate paranormal activity at the historic Red Lion Inn in England. They search for clues and make dialogue choices that affect how the story develops.

The story follows the Cooper family, who arrive at the centuries-old inn while dealing with grief. Their stay becomes disturbing when dolls begin to disappear. After a séance goes wrong, Noakes investigates the connection between the haunting, a folklore-inspired ghost named Florrie and a demon called Vinea.

Noakes uses a smartphone equipped with paranormal investigation tools, including an electromagnetic field reader, an infrared camera and a spirit box. The tools help detect unusual energy readings, temperature changes and other signs of supernatural activity. The infrared camera provides a thermal view of the inn and its surroundings.

Players do not need to have watched the Conjuring films to follow the game’s story. The game includes connections to the wider franchise for players familiar with the films.
