The Planet Crafter launches on PS5 July 21 with two-player co-op

Miju Games will release The Planet Crafter on PlayStation 5 on July 21, 2026, adding its non-violent terraforming survival gameplay and online two-player co-op to consoles.

Miju Games will release The Planet Crafter on PlayStation 5 on July 21, 2026. The PS5 edition is the title’s first official console release.

Players begin with minimal tools and must gather resources, build a base and construct machines that produce oxygen, water and other life-support systems to make the planet habitable. The game contains no enemies or combat; progression depends on crafting and infrastructure rather than combat encounters.

Terraforming relies on machines such as drills to harvest minerals, heaters to melt glaciers and atmospheric fabricators that introduce breathable air. Key terraforming systems continue to operate in real time while the player is offline, causing visible changes on the planetary surface: frozen areas can thaw, rivers can form and plant life can spread.

The PS5 version supports single-player and online two-player co-op, allowing friends to join sessions and collaborate on building and transforming the landscape.

Outside of base building and infrastructure, players can scavenge meteorites, mine uncommon minerals and locate the remains of previous survivors. Materials found in the world provide components for advanced technology and expanded habitat options.

Miju Games set the July 21 date as the PlayStation launch, positioning the title for a summer release on PS5.
