The Posthumous Investigation arrives on Android and Switch

The Posthumous Investigation, a time-loop murder mystery set in 1937 Rio, is now available on Android and Nintendo Switch. It launched on PC in March; an iOS release is unconfirmed.
Mother Gaia Studio’s time-loop murder mystery The Posthumous Investigation has launched on Android and Nintendo Switch after its March release on PC. Publisher Critical Leap announced the ports; the developer and publisher have not confirmed an iOS release date.
Players take the role of a private investigator hired to solve a homicide that occurs in Rio de Janeiro in 1937. The game uses a one-day time loop: each playthrough covers the same day and resets to the morning after the day ends.
The investigation requires interviewing 14 suspects, collecting clues across a hand-drawn, noir-inspired cityscape, testing alibis and using information from earlier loops to unlock new lines of inquiry and access previously closed areas or conversations.
The Android edition is available through the Google Play Store and the Switch edition is live on Nintendo’s platform. No release schedule for iOS has been provided.
The mobile and Switch versions adapt the original PC mechanics for touch and controller input. The developer did not announce new narrative chapters or platform-exclusive features with the launch.
When the game arrived on PC in March, early coverage noted its storytelling approach and hand-drawn visuals.
