The Red Cathedral launches Nov. 11 on mobile and PC

Devir Apps will release The Red Cathedral on Nov. 11, 2026, for Android, iOS and PC. It supports one- to four-player cross-play, online and local multiplayer, three AI levels and a tutorial.

Devir Apps will release a digital adaptation of the award-winning board game The Red Cathedral on Nov. 11, 2026, for Android, iOS and PC. The release supports one- to four-player cross-platform play, online and local multiplayer, three AI difficulty settings and a step-by-step tutorial.

Players take the role of an architect tasked with building a grand cathedral ordered by a tsar. Gameplay requires managing resources, claiming sections of the structure, collecting materials and decorating finished areas while competing with rival architects for prestige and favor. The digital edition retains core board-game mechanics, including interactions with guilds and clergy that influence scoring and strategy, the developer stated in its announcement.

The single-player option uses a dedicated AI with three difficulty levels. Multiplayer supports local games on the same device and online matches across platforms, allowing mobile and PC players to play together.

Devir says the digital release includes expanded artwork and presentation elements compared with the physical edition. The adaptation also offers automated scoring, enforced rules and online matchmaking to streamline play and reduce setup time.

The Red Cathedral was first revealed in May 2026. The physical board game has sold more than 100,000 copies and received awards in the tabletop community. Pre-registration is available on the Google Play Store ahead of the launch.

The release adds to a trend of tabletop titles being adapted for digital platforms to reach solo and remote players while preserving original game systems.
