The Sinking City 2 PC specs revealed; pre-orders open

Frogwares published PC system requirements for The Sinking City 2, confirmed a 70GB install and an Unreal Engine 5.8 switch, and opened pre-orders for 18 August 2026.

Frogwares has published the PC system requirements for The Sinking City 2 and opened pre-orders ahead of the game’s 18 August 2026 release on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The studio confirmed the install size, a required SSD and a late engine migration as part of final preparations.

The developer set performance targets for two tiers: the minimum target is 1080p at 30 frames per second on low settings, and the recommended target is 1440p at 60 frames per second on a balanced preset. Frogwares said both targets were measured using TSR and comparable upscaling technologies.

Minimum specifications list Windows 11 x64, an Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600X, 16GB of RAM and a graphics card comparable to an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 or AMD RX 5700 with 8GB of VRAM. DirectX 12 is required and the install size is 70GB on an SSD.

Recommended specifications call for Windows 11 x64, an Intel Core i5-14600K or AMD Ryzen 5 7600X, 32GB of RAM and a GPU comparable to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti or AMD RX 7900 XT with 12GB of VRAM, also using DirectX 12 and a 70GB SSD.

Around two months before launch, Frogwares migrated the project to Unreal Engine 5.8. The studio attributed the switch to performance improvements and reiterated that its performance targets assume use of modern upscaling tools.

Pre-orders are available now on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The Standard Edition is priced at $49.99 and includes the base game plus the Chthonic Arsenal weapon pack. The Deluxe Edition is $54.99 and adds the Arkham Field Kit, which contains three outfits, early Talent unlocks and a resource pack. The Premium Edition is $59.99 and adds the Holloway Manor bonus quest and 24-hour early access. All pre-orders include the Chthonic Arsenal set, comprising the Shale Mary handgun, Breakwater shotgun and Tektite Tommy SMG.

Publishing director Sergiy Oganesyan described the Standard Edition price as “a fairness decision,” writing that the studio “wanted to give as many people as possible the chance to play.” Frogwares develops remotely across Ukraine and other locations and will release The Sinking City 2 on 18 August 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The studio notes that an SSD and the specified hardware are required to meet the published performance targets.
