The Sinking City 2 trailer shows Arkham Fish Market and New Game+
Frogwares released a 12-minute gameplay trailer for The Sinking City 2 showing the flooded Arkham Fish Market, new enemy types, upgraded gear and New Game+ at launch on Aug. 18, 2026.
Frogwares released a 12-minute gameplay trailer for The Sinking City 2 that offers the most extensive look yet at the sequel’s early campaign. The footage highlights a new location, expanded enemy encounters, upgraded equipment and confirmation that New Game+ will be available at launch.
The trailer opens in the Arkham Fish Market, once a busy waterfront district. The area is shown with flooded buildings, rotting stalls, abandoned ships, empty workshops and quiet streets. The footage shows exploration through ruined storefronts and interiors, illustrating how the flood has affected the neighborhood and the few residents who remain.
New enemy types appear in the market and nearby areas. The trailer shows hostile human and non-human foes and several survivors who display signs of mental collapse after the city’s events. Larger adversaries are also featured; some perform aggressive attacks that can toss the player character.
Combat footage shows higher-tier firearms and new gadgets in use. Players are seen wielding upgraded weapons and equipment that were not present in earlier demonstrations. The trailer presents those items alongside exploration segments and encounter scenes.
Frogwares confirmed New Game+ will be available from day one. After completing a playthrough, players can start a new game while keeping earned perk points, unlocked perks and gathered items. The mode will include additional challenges, achievements and both cosmetic and gameplay rewards.
The developer also outlined a post-launch plan that includes a free HDR update to arrive after launch. Frogwares said it chose to ship the core game first to allow more time to polish the base experience; no dates were given for other post-launch content.
The Sinking City 2 is scheduled for release on August 18, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
