Expansive Worlds released the Intisuyu Peru DLC for theHunter: Call of the Wild on June 16, 2026. The expansion is available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S and is priced at about $12. Publisher Avalanche Studios provided a review key for testing.

Intisuyu adds a Peruvian reserve made up of three biomes: Andean foothills that favour long-range encounters, a misty cloud forest that includes an animal sanctuary with informational plaques, and a dense river jungle that encourages close-quarters, stealth-driven play. New regional species introduced in the DLC include capybaras, jaguars and vicuñas among others.

The update brings roughly sixty new story missions and a Notice Board system that offers tasks classified as hunting, exploration or volunteering at the sanctuary. The pack also includes a new Dahler Reverse Draw CB-150 crossbow intended as a quieter weapon for jungle engagements.

Core mechanics and progression systems remain unchanged. Players continue to buy and upgrade weapons, unlock perks and adjust loadouts to match biome demands. The game’s tutorial systems carry over, so players who start with Intisuyu receive the same guidance as those familiar with earlier reserves.

On the tested PC build (AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, NVIDIA RTX 3080 Ti, 32 GB RAM), performance stayed above 100 frames per second and the build rendered dense vegetation and shifting light without major issues. The reviewer noted visuals are solid but do not surpass what earlier reserves have already shown.

The reviewer described the map as one that “still feels like a reskin rather than something genuinely fresh” and wrote that the expansion is “a perfectly enjoyable expansion that simply does not try very hard to surprise you.” The reviewer also observed that the game’s protection-of-endangered-species premise is presented only loosely within the missions.

Intisuyu expands available scenery and wildlife while keeping theHunter’s existing systems and progression intact, allowing new and returning players to enter the map without prior play.
