TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge free on Epic Games Store this week
TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge is free to claim on the Epic Games Store through July 2.
Epic Games Store is offering TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge free to claim through July 2. Users must sign in to their Epic account and add the game to their library before the promotion ends.
The title is a side-scrolling beat ’em up featuring the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in a pixel-art style. It supports cooperative play and stages designed for short sessions.
Critics noted the game’s tight combat and relatively short levels, and highlighted its design that reflects classic arcade-style brawlers. The copy on Epic is the standalone PC release.
A streaming edition of the game is also available on a subscription service; reviewers report no major differences between that edition and the standalone build. Because subscription libraries can change, players who have accessed the game via a streaming service may want to claim the Epic version to retain a direct-install copy.
The free promotion ends on July 2. After that date the game will return to its regular price.
As previously reported, Pokémon Go marks its anniversary with new Pikachu costumes.
