Torchlight: Infinite launches Tartarus season

Torchlight: Infinite’s SS14 season, Tartarus, sends players into a prison populated by hostile inmates. Players fight the prisoners, collect their nameplates and use them to take control of the facility.

After gaining control of the prison, players arrange battles between its inhabitants. They then face the survivors of those fights. The quality of the enemies players create affects the rewards they receive.

The seasonal mode uses a structure similar to the earlier Vorax mode. Players familiar with that mode will find a comparable system in Tartarus, with a different setting and group of enemies.

SS14 also adds the Space-time Witness trait for Youga. The trait supports rapid, repeated spell casting and offers a character setup based on recurring magic attacks.

Tartarus is the season’s Halloween-themed content, with a dark prison setting and battles between its inmates. The developers have released an overview video covering the seasonal mode and Youga’s new trait.
