Total War: Warhammer 3 adds four Legendary Lords on Sept. 24

SEGA and Creative Assembly will release the Lords of the End Times expansion for Total War: Warhammer III on Sept. 24. The paid DLC adds four Legendary Lords-Nagash, Boris Todbringer, the Glottkin and Thanquol-to the game’s Immortal Empires campaign and is described by the developer as the largest expansion in the series’ decade-long run.

Each new lord brings a unique army, new units, hero types and gameplay mechanics drawn from the End Times era of Warhammer Fantasy. Notable additions listed by the developer include Khemric Titans, Verminlords, Putrid Blight Kings and a Celestial Hurricanum. The lords are intended to present different strategic options tied to their characters and backgrounds in the franchise.

Purchasing Lords of the End Times will grant access to Immortal Empires for players who do not already own it. The expansion can be bought as a standalone product or through the game’s bundle, so ownership of earlier Total War: Warhammer titles is not required to access the new content.

A free update arriving the same day will add content for players who do not buy the paid expansion. The update makes Neferata a Legendary Lord and implements a broad overhaul of the Vampire Counts faction. It also updates Archaon the Everchosen and introduces new end-game scenarios titled Chaos Invasion, Vermintide and Nagash Rises.

Legacy Legendary Lords will receive revised victory conditions and other late-game changes intended to adjust faction balance and objectives. The combination of the paid expansion and the complimentary update increases unit variety and campaign options within Immortal Empires.

Total War: Warhammer III – Lords of the End Times will be available globally on Sept. 24. The release includes the paid DLC with the four new lords and the free update that adds Neferata and multiple faction and end-game updates.
