Touken Ranbu Puzzle opens pre-registration in Japan

DMM Games opened pre-registration in Japan for Touken Ranbu Puzzle, a match-3 RPG arriving on Android, iOS and PC on September 30, 2026.

DMM Games has opened pre-registration in Japan for Touken Ranbu Puzzle, a match-3 role-playing game developed by NHN PlayArt in collaboration with Nitroplus. The title is scheduled to launch in Japan on September 30, 2026, and will be available on Android, iOS and PC.

The game places Touken Danshi characters in chibi form and uses match-3 boards for combat. Players link same-colored demon icons to trigger attacks and chains that let Touken Danshi perform skills and combos. The story frames these encounters as missions to restore altered history by clearing puzzles and deploying character abilities.

Players can recruit a variety of sword warriors, including weapons classified as tachi, and field teams composed of characters such as Kashuu Kiyomitsu and Iwatooshi. Each Touken Danshi has individual secret techniques, and some characters can gain enhanced forms as the narrative advances. An in-game activity log records battles, character progression and player interactions for later review.

Pre-registration in Japan is tied to milestone rewards. DMM Games has outlined incentives that include up to 40 gacha tickets, in-game Gems and additional bonuses unlocked as registration thresholds are reached. Pre-registration is available through Google Play, the App Store and the PC storefronts where DMM distributes the game.

Early reports of the title note its compact character designs and the straightforward match-3 combat system. Some observers have expressed a desire for more gameplay elements beyond standard match-3 mechanics.

DMM Games, NHN PlayArt and Nitroplus are expected to share further details about character rosters, timed events and feature updates in the run-up to the September 30 release.
