TrainStation 2 and 3 Relaunch Save the Rails With Freedom Train
Pixel Federation relaunched Save the Rails in TrainStation 2 and TrainStation 3 with an American Freedom Train No. 1 Charity Pack; proceeds will fund the B&O Railroad Museum.
Pixel Federation has relaunched its Save the Rails charity event in TrainStation 2 and TrainStation 3, offering a Charity Pack that includes a digital recreation of the American Freedom Train No. 1. All revenue from the pack will be directed to the B&O Railroad Museum in Baltimore, Maryland to support restoration and education programs.
The Charity Pack is available for purchase in each game’s in‑app store. TrainStation 2 will sell the pack from July 1 through July 7. TrainStation 3 will offer the pack for a shorter window, from July 5 through July 7. Players who buy the pack keep the digital locomotive permanently, and the item will not be available for sale after each campaign ends.
The American Freedom Train No. 1 toured the United States during the 1976 Bicentennial and was later retired to the B&O Railroad Museum, where it is part of the museum’s collection. The museum will receive the full proceeds from the in‑game sales to fund restoration of the locomotive and related educational activities.
Save the Rails is a recurring charity initiative from Pixel Federation. Earlier campaigns directed in‑game purchase revenue to preservation projects for a heritage railway in Slovakia and the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway in the United Kingdom. The B&O Railroad Museum will also host Independence Day events during the holiday period when visitors can view the real Freedom Train in person.
