Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun Boom arrives on Android and iOS

Nitro Games has launched Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun Boom on Android and iOS. The game is available for download from the App Store and Google Play after being revealed in May 2026.

The mobile edition adapts the original boomer shooter developed by Auroch Digital. Nitro Games kept the game’s retro visual style and high-speed first-person combat while changing controls and systems for touchscreen play.

Players take the role of Malum Caedo, a Sternguard Veteran Space Marine. The campaign sends the character through encounters with cultists, traitors, daemons and other Chaos forces. Combat emphasizes rapid movement and heavy firepower. Weapons include the series’ signature boltgun and other armaments, and levels feature explosive set pieces and larger threats such as towering war machines.

The first three levels are available free. The full single-player campaign is unlocked with a one-time purchase; the release contains no ads or energy systems and focuses on continuous single-player progression across multiple worlds in the Warhammer 40,000 setting.

Nitro Games said the mobile controls were adjusted to make aiming, movement and weapon switching work on touchscreens. The release follows several recent ports that adapt classic-style shooters for mobile devices.

Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun Boom is offered as a premium title on both major app stores and requires a one-time payment to access the complete campaign.
