Wilds turns player drawings into 3D creatures for PC, mobile

Night Zookeeper’s Wilds converts hand-drawn sketches into customizable 3D creatures and will launch on PC and mobile later this year; Steam lists an expected November 2026 release.

Night Zookeeper announced Wilds, a character-creation and collection game that converts players’ hand-drawn sketches into playable 3D creatures. The developer plans a PC and mobile release later this year. Steam lists an expected release in November 2026; the company has not published a final mobile rollout schedule.

Players draw creatures inside the game and the system turns those drawings into 3D models. Once created, each Wild can be customized with abilities, attack types and loadouts. Players can collect and battle with their Wilds, explore in-game locations, complete challenges and confront the Voids, described by the developer as forces that erase imagination.

The developer plans to let community creations influence future creatures, items, locations, attacks and other game features. Designs created by other players will be discoverable in the game.

Wilds is set in the Night Zookeeper universe, where the stated objective is to restore a world that has lost creativity. The team behind Wilds previously built the Night Zookeeper educational platform, which received a BAFTA nomination. The platform has involved more than 1 million children and produced over 1 billion words of writing from young creators across more than 15 years of work.

Wilds is available to wishlist on Steam. The developer is accepting sign-ups for updates and potential Alpha playtest opportunities through the game’s official website.

Night Zookeeper has expanded its brand into books, an animated series and a global creative community. Wilds shifts the studio’s approach from pre-made characters to allowing player drawings to directly shape in-game content and ongoing development.
