Players assemble squads from Squad cards that represent professions such as Warrior, Mesmer, Necromancer and Ranger, each providing distinct roles and strengths in combat.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The game introduces Commander units, leaders with passive traits and active abilities that influence board strategy. ArenaNet has named playable commanders including Trahearne, Nika and Knut Whitebear.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ArenaNet described single-player content alongside online PvP modes. The company did not provide a specific release date, pre-registration period or test schedule and indicated a wider international release has not been confirmed and could depend on the game&#8217;s reception in China.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MISTBOUND adapts Guild Wars classes and characters into a turn-based, board-focused format rather than the real-time MMORPG combat the series is known for.
