G Fuel will temporarily reduce scheduled work hours for employees during the launch period of Grand Theft Auto 6 to give staff time to play, the company communicated to employees. Core operations including order fulfillment and customer service will continue during the adjustment.

The change applies during the game’s initial release window. Some shifts and hours will be scaled back, and managers will coordinate coverage to maintain business functions while allowing staff time to engage with the release, according to the company notice.

The company did not specify whether adjusted hours will be paid at the same rate, how many employees will participate, or how long the scheduling policy will remain in effect. The announcement described the adjustments as limited and temporary.

G Fuel markets energy supplements to gamers and content creators and has previously run promotions aimed at streamers and influencers. The company framed the schedule change as a staff benefit and an opportunity for employees to experience a major release that matches its audience.

Other employers in the gaming and esports sectors often adjust staffing and marketing around major game releases to support content creation and audience engagement. Grand Theft Auto 6, produced by Rockstar Games, is a highly anticipated title that typically generates increased influencer activity and demand for related merchandise around launch.

G Fuel’s scheduling adjustment allows employee participation in the launch while the company continues daily operations. The memo emphasized the temporary nature of the change and said teams would manage coverage during the release window.
