Microsoft Rewards members can now use accumulated points to pre-order Grand Theft Auto 6 as a digital purchase on Xbox or the Microsoft Store. Eligible users may apply points to cover the full pre-order price where the option appears, or convert points into a digital Xbox gift card and use that balance to complete the purchase.

Microsoft Rewards is available to anyone with a Microsoft account. Users earn points by using Bing search, completing Xbox quests and daily sets, shopping through the Microsoft Store, and joining promotional offers. Points are redeemed through the Microsoft Rewards catalog or directly in the Microsoft Store in regions where in-store redemption is supported.

How many points are required depends on regional pricing and Microsoft’s conversion rates. The Rewards catalog lists available redemption options and the point equivalent for the game price in a user’s region. Members should verify their Rewards balance and the catalog entry before starting a pre-order to confirm they have enough points to complete the transaction.

Taxes, regional billing differences and local store pricing can change the total amount charged and therefore the number of points needed. Pre-orders completed with points follow Microsoft Store terms for digital purchases; returns, cancellations and refunds are handled under those policies. Customers should review Microsoft’s digital purchase and refund rules before placing a pre-order.

The redemption offer is limited to areas where both the Microsoft Rewards program and the Microsoft Store operate. Availability may vary by country and by account status, so users should sign in to their Microsoft account to confirm eligibility and the exact redemption steps for their region.

Microsoft Rewards has previously allowed points to be redeemed for digital gift cards, subscription credits such as Xbox Game Pass, and other digital items. Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive retain the Grand Theft Auto trademarks; the Rewards redemption is an option provided through Microsoft’s store and rewards program and does not affect those trademark arrangements.
