SavySoda has released a free Level 10 Ship Expansion for Pixel Starships 2. The update is available now to Early Access players on Steam, iOS and Android ahead of the game’s planned v1.0 launch later this year.<\/p>
The expansion raises the ship level cap to 10 and adds faction-specific weapons, over a dozen new crew members, changes to the Prestige system and a set of endgame ship upgrades. The developer published the changes in the update notes bundled with the release.<\/p>
Each major faction receives exclusive weapons that reflect its lore and combat style. The new armaments come in multiple rarity tiers and can be equipped in both player-versus-player and player-versus-environment modes. The weapons are designed to create interactions with existing crew abilities so commanders can combine gear and personnel in different ways.<\/p>
The roster expands by more than a dozen crew members. New characters have distinct roles, abilities and rarity levels. Several new ability archetypes are included, and the developer grouped some characters so deploying compatible crew together on the same ship unlocks bonus effects.<\/p>
The Prestige system has been revised to make duplicate crew more useful. Players can merge multiple lower-rarity copies to form stronger, higher-rarity versions of the same character rather than scrapping extras. The change alters how collectors can progress long-term with repeat hires.<\/p>
Reaching Level 10 unlocks a set of ship-focused upgrades. These upgrades include increases to hull durability, larger energy capacity, improved room efficiency and passive bonuses that interact with crew abilities. The new upgrades become available only after a ship is promoted to the new level cap.<\/p>
Pixel Starships 2 remains in Early Access while SavySoda prepares the full v1.0 release later this year. The game is a science-fiction strategy title centered on ship management, crew collection and tactical combat across multiple modes.
