The listing was later updated to a higher, standard price.

The low price appeared on a digital storefront and remained visible for several hours before the retailer corrected the listing. Retailers and platform operators control how pre-orders are displayed and processed; temporary price tags, promotional labels or testing data can lead to incorrect prices appearing to customers.

Several buyers received confirmation notices after paying $2. Whether those transactions are finalized depends on the selling retailer’s terms of sale and its order-handling policies. Possible outcomes include honoring the charge, requesting the remaining balance, canceling orders or issuing refunds.

Rockstar Games and its publisher have not released a statement about the $2 listings. The Grand Theft Auto name and its logos are registered trademarks of the publisher.

Pre-orders are commonly used to measure demand and offer early-purchase incentives. Major game releases typically carry standard market prices set by publishers, while retailers may apply bonuses or limited promotions. Price-display errors can occur when retailers update large product catalogs or run short tests on live pages.

Customers who paid $2 should monitor email confirmations and their account activity for messages from the retailer explaining the outcome. The retailer’s terms of sale and applicable consumer protection rules will determine whether the low-price transactions are completed or reversed.

A digital storefront briefly listed Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders for $2; some customers completed checkout before the price was corrected.

[12

post-1627","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-latest

GTA 6 Pre-Order Momentarily Listed for $2 — Some Buyers Charged

<meta name="description" content="Digital storefront briefly listed GTA 6 pre-orders for $2; some buyers checked out.
