Streamer Limmy received a temporary ban from the multiplayer horror game Dead by Daylight after an in-game notice listed the reason as “Griefing: intentional game play abuse.” The notification appeared while he was live and gave a specific end time of July 7 at 01:41:21 UTC.

The on-screen alert, shown during the game’s loading screen, read “You have been banned.” On stream he declared, “It has finally happened,” asked how long enforcement took and then laughed after seeing the penalty length, saying, “I’m unbanned in two fucking days.”

Limmy’s channel features “malice bets,” which let viewers spend accumulated Twitch channel points to influence in-game outcomes. Channel points are earned through viewership and have no cash value.

The notice cited conduct described by other players: blocking teammates’ escape paths, repeatedly entering and exiting lockers near objectives to draw the killer’s attention, and revealing or betraying teammates’ locations. Matches where he plays as the Killer have included trolling and provocative behavior.

Player responses are mixed. Some viewers and fellow players view the actions as entertainment and often mirror or ignore them. Others say the behavior disrupts matches for players seeking a standard cooperative or competitive experience.

Behaviour Interactive enforces conduct rules that cover intentional disruption. The studio’s in-game notification specified “Griefing: intentional game play abuse” and provided the exact suspension end time.

The ban is scheduled to lift on July 7 at 01:41:21 UTC. Limmy told his audience he plans to resume streaming Dead by Daylight after the suspension ends, and followers are watching to see whether his approach to the game changes.
