The Goals Open live Grand Final is scheduled for Stockholm on Saturday, September 12, 2026.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;We want anyone to be able to compete,&#8221; Thorstensson said, and the studio plans to provide tools for fans to organize events, create content and build local communities. Official broadcasts of Open events will stream on Twitch and YouTube, and matches will also be viewable inside the game through an in-game esports hub where players can follow tournaments, watch matches and discover upcoming events.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A central feature of Goals&#8217; model is team creation. Players compete using their own generated squads rather than drawing from a standardized pool of athletes. Thorstensson described generated players as evolving assets and said the studio will use matchmaking, progression balance and other systems to keep skill as the decisive factor in competition. The developer also noted that randomness plays a role in team generation and that ongoing balancing will be required to avoid repetitive lineups.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Goals plans to introduce esports-related cosmetics over time, such as team kits and celebrations, and to explore mechanisms that could let players and fans help grow prize pools through tournament-specific items. Official events will begin with a \u20ac10,000 prize pool, with the studio planning to expand that amount in future seasons.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The developer intends to support community tournament organizers with event creation tools, spectator features and broadcast support aimed at broadening participation and viewership. The in-game hub will list ongoing and upcoming events, stream matches and link to official broadcasts so players can watch competitions without leaving the game.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Further details on event formats, qualification timelines and community tools are expected in the coming weeks via in-game updates.
