Remedy told investors it cannot share development details, progress updates or tentative release dates until Rockstar authorizes public communication.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both remakes were announced in 2022. Remedy is rebuilding the games from the ground up using its Northlight engine, with Rockstar providing funding and returning as publisher.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The original Max Payne released in 2001 and Max Payne 2 in 2003. Remedy offered no release window for the remakes and will withhold further details while Rockstar retains control of announcements.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the same report Remedy referenced its recent titles, including Alan Wake 2 and Control, when outlining the studio\u2019s experience updating older properties and developing at a larger scale.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Further information will be published only if Rockstar transfers or shares control over publishing and announcements.
