The Axatana is locked in a cage inside the Forgotten Tower, on a small island accessible from the Castigator’s Keep beacon. Players must use a sequence of teleport gates from the beacon to reach the tower, then open a nearby switch and defeat a guardian to pick up the weapon.

The Axatana is a dual-wield weapon that changes form with attack input: light attacks use a pair of katanas while heavy strikes switch to an axe. The design offers a mix of quick slashes and heavier blows depending on whether players use light or heavy attacks.

To reach the island, fast travel to the Castigator’s Keep beacon. Descend the stairs beside the beacon and pass the first enemy to reach a long catwalk that leads to the first teleporter. Step through that teleporter to appear in an area with multiple enemies and head to the opposite side to find the next gate.

The next area includes a jumping teleporter that launches players to a higher platform. From that higher section, move right through a cluster of foes and continue to the teleporter at the far end. That teleporter gives two destination options; select the right-hand option to arrive at Forgotten Tower, where the Axatana is kept.

Inside the tower, a switch near one of the gates opens the cage that holds the weapon. The cage is guarded by a fast enemy wielding dual daggers. She uses quick close-range combos and will dodge the first ranged shot fired at her, then becomes more vulnerable to continued ranged pressure. Players who keep distance, bait dodges and punish from range will find the encounter more manageable.

Before beginning the teleporter chain, check sidearm energy, shown by the yellow bar. The guardian fight is easier with sufficient ranged energy; attempting the fight with low sidearm reserves increases difficulty.

The Axatana does not appear as a dungeon marker on the map. A vendor named Merrick can reveal its location if players buy his map, but the route can also be reached directly from Castigator’s Keep using the described teleport sequence.
