A short quest in Mortal Shell 2 begins with a frog named Gorf north of the Widow’s Overlook beacon. Players can reach the location shortly after arriving at Marrow Keep and can bypass a nearby trial area on foot.

Interacting with Gorf lets players trade a Weltcap for a Marsh Pearl. After each trade players must rest at the nearby beacon to reset the world before repeating the exchange. Exhausting Gorf’s dialogue each visit is required to progress the sequence.

Repeat the trade cycle until you have collected four Marsh Pearls. Marsh Pearls can be sold for 2,000 gold each. On later visits dead bodies appear around Gorf, and after the fourth Pearl he will fall ill and hand over a Poisoned Dagger taken from one of his attackers.

The dagger is meant for Hilga, an NPC found at Mushroom Village. Deliver the Poisoned Dagger to Hilga and then return to Gorf. On the next visit Hilga will appear with Gorf; after another rest she will be absent and a subsequent visit yields a fifth Marsh Pearl.

One final rest and return to Gorf reveals Hilga transformed into a frog and sitting beside him, which completes the brief questline. To advance the sequence reliably, rest at the beacon between visits and make sure to exhaust dialogue at each exchange.

The interaction is available early in the game due to Gorf’s proximity to the first beacon and requires only Weltcaps plus the routine of resting at beacons to progress.
