The studio acknowledged the July 10 adjustments changed how aim assist engages on distant targets, resulting in the most noticeable differences during extended sightline engagements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Technical details were withheld initially to avoid giving cheat developers information that could be used to build new exploits. Respawn described the update as necessary to reduce cheating and said it will continue to monitor controller performance and anti-cheat effectiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The RC Filter exploit allowed some players to alter aim-assist behavior and produce accuracy beyond normal controller play. By clamping down on those exploit methods, Respawn removed a portion of the boosted accuracy; that action also reduced aim-assist assistance for legitimate controller players.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Respawn supplied the 2\u20134% figure as an estimate of the immediate effect.
