The port runs the full original content on GameCube consoles that never received an official release of the title.

The developers adapted the game’s original assets and code to the GameCube’s processor and memory layout. They translated game logic and reworked resource loading so missions, audio, radio tracks and scripted events behave as in the PlayStation 2 and PC versions.

Controller mappings and save handling were adjusted to match GameCube input and storage systems. The team released the build through the homebrew community and provided installation and compatibility information. Users must supply their own game files to comply with copyright norms.

The project is an unofficial fan effort and is not affiliated with Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive. The developers described the work as focused on preservation and technical challenge rather than commercial distribution.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City was developed by Rockstar North and first released in 2002 for PlayStation 2, later appearing on PC and Xbox.
