The reported prices include an ad-supported plan at $12.99 per month, an ad-free plan at $19.99 per month or $239.99 per year, and a cloud streaming option priced at $5.99 for 25 hours of playtime.

                <a href="https://twitter.com/user/status/2099797323169632744" target="_blank"rel="noopener nofollow">
                    View this tweet on Twitter

The rumours describe a reshuffle of services currently bundled in Game Pass. The ad-free $19.99 monthly plan would be lower than the current Game Pass Ultimate list price of $22.99 per month in the United States but is reported to exclude some benefits that Ultimate includes. Other options mentioned in the reports include a plan limited to the Game Pass library and online multiplayer at $14.99 per month, an online multiplayer–only plan at $10.99 per month, and a family add‑on for $5.99 per month.

A central element in the reports is the potential end of day‑one additions to Game Pass. The documents indicate that titles would stop arriving on the service on their release day starting in the February–April 2027 window. Day‑one availability has been a prominent feature of Game Pass, and the reports note that Microsoft has previously made exceptions for some major releases.

Cloud streaming could be moved out of a bundled Game Pass subscription and sold in blocks of hours. The reported model would offer 25 hours of cloud play for $5.99 instead of including unrestricted cloud access in a single subscription package. Microsoft has already confirmed separate, earlier changes to cloud gaming: monthly playtime limits will begin in November 2026 and users will be able to buy additional hours. Those confirmed adjustments do not confirm the broader restructuring described in the 2027 reports.

Microsoft has not confirmed the 2027 changes and company representatives did not provide comment at the time of publication. The reports do not specify how games published by external developers or major franchises would be handled under the proposed new tiers.

Game Pass launched as a subscription combining a rotating library of titles, day‑one releases from Microsoft’s studios and cloud play across devices. Since its introduction, the service has been a central element of Microsoft’s Xbox and PC offerings. Any official announcement from the company would clarify which, if any, of the reported pricing and feature changes will take effect.

Microsoft may
