Founder Christofer Sundberg announced the studio\u2019s closure on social media on Oct. 19, citing insufficient console sales.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Console players gave Samson positive feedback, but sales did not generate enough funding to keep the company operating. The game was Liquid Swords\u2019 first and only release.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Liquid Swords had been unable to pay its employees for several months. Workers are expected to seek compensation through a government-backed wage protection system.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A receiver was appointed to look for a buyer for the company, but no buyer was found. Liquid Swords then ceased operations after failing to resolve its financial difficulties.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sundberg helped establish Avalanche Studios before founding Liquid Swords. He had planned to build a new development team around Samson.
