ZombiSeed brings joseimuke visual novel card RPG to mobile

LemonVelvet announced ZombiSeed, a joseimuke visual novel with turn-based card combat for Android and iOS in Korea later this year and worldwide in 2027; Kickstarter pre-launch Sept. 10, 2026.

LemonVelvet announced ZombiSeed, a character-driven joseimuke visual novel paired with a turn-based card RPG. The game will release on Android and iOS in Korea later this year, with a global launch planned for 2027. The developer has scheduled a Kickstarter pre-launch for Sept. 10, 2026, and has released a playable PC demo.

Players assume the role of Baek Sihyeon, a teacher at Hunter Academy responsible for guiding five students and another instructor through events following a floral apocalypse known as the Flower Zombie outbreak. The game’s narrative centers on mentorship, trust and emotional bonds between characters rather than conventional romance.

Combat uses a turn-based card system. Each turn players draw three cards and can chain them to form combos. Longer chains increase attack power. Players assemble teams of Hunters and plan card synergies to tackle enemies and challenging stages.

Story content is split into a Main Story and Card Story entries. The Main Story follows the investigation into the outbreak and the academy’s role. Card Story entries are side episodes tied to collectible character cards; those cards can be awakened to add fully voiced scenes and extra dialogue for specific characters.

The game features Korean voice acting and detailed character illustrations. Stages include exploration of a ruined world and scenes set inside the academy, where character backstories and personal mysteries are revealed. Promotional material names characters such as Lee Seoyoon and Kwon Daham, whose histories and motivations are unlocked through progression in both main and card-focused narratives.

LemonVelvet will open the Kickstarter pre-launch on Sept. 10, 2026, offering pre-orders and backer rewards. A PC demo is available for players who want to sample the story and combat systems before the mobile release in Korea and the subsequent worldwide launch in 2027.
