Aion 2 restricts 4,996 accounts in bot crackdown

Aion 2 developer NC has restricted 4,996 accounts over bots, macros, gold farming, real-money trading and abnormal activity affecting the game’s economy.

Aion 2 developer NC has restricted 4,996 accounts in a crackdown on unauthorized programs, gold farming, real-money trading and abnormal trading patterns.

The restrictions target players using bots, macros or other programs to automate gameplay. They also cover organized activity linked to gold farming and real-money trading, in which virtual currency or items are sold for money outside the game.

NC reviewed trading activity for patterns that could affect the in-game economy. The restrictions were imposed after account reviews and under the game’s operating policy.

The developer is “continuously monitoring in-game activity and the overall service environment.” Normal gameplay, including long grinding sessions, is not affected, according to NC.

Separately, a small number of accounts were temporarily locked as a precaution after access from specific devices indicated that the accounts may have been compromised. NC described a security lock as a measure that protects an account and its items while the situation is verified, rather than as a penalty.

Players who believe their accounts were restricted by mistake, or who are affected by a security lock, can contact Aion 2 customer support.
