Arc Raiders swaps skill points for blueprints and tokens
From expedition four, Arc Raiders will award blueprints and 150 Raider Tokens per damage tier instead of skill points. The next expedition opens July 7 with five damage tiers.
The developer will replace skill points with blueprints and Raider Tokens beginning with expedition four. The next expedition window opens July 7 and will include five damage-based reward tiers.
Players unlock rewards by dealing damage while topside. The first tier unlocks at 5,000 damage and the fifth at 100,000 damage, with three intermediate thresholds between those amounts. Each unlocked tier awards a random high-end blueprint from the expedition pool and 150 Raider Tokens.
At maximum progression through all five tiers a player can earn 750 Raider Tokens and up to five blueprints in a single expedition run. Raider Tokens are the in-game currency used to buy cosmetics in the shop. Blueprints can be crafted if the player acquires the required resources.
The developer cited two reasons for the change: many players have reached high points on the current skill tree, reducing demand for skill points, and some players hesitate to accept a full wipe because it erases accumulated progress.
Rewards are randomized; blueprint drops depend on chance while higher damage thresholds allow access to more tiers. The studio also added new cosmetic items to the shop inventory, including a balaclava-style outfit.
Previous expeditions prioritized extra skill points as the main reward. The updated structure keeps the periodic wipe mechanic and frames each expedition window as a limited-time opportunity to earn the new rewards.
