Battlefield 6’s Dead Space: Convergence Halloween event is live from Oct. 20 through Nov. 10. It adds the 16-player Marker Incursion PvE mode, Dead Space-themed rewards and the DS-23 Pulse Rifle.

In Marker Incursion, squads enter an Area 51 facility after the discovery of a mysterious marker. Players must fight through the base, investigate the marker’s effects and stop a convergence by destroying marker shrines across the area.

The mode features soldiers altered by the marker and other enemies affected by its signal. Marker shrines strengthen the signal in nearby areas. Players must destroy the shrines to progress through each encounter.

The DS-23 Pulse Rifle appears in Marker Incursion as a battle pick-up. The weapon is based on the rifle featured in the Dead Space games and has a fast rate of fire.

Players can earn event rewards including the Aegis VII Soldier Skin, the RIG-Certified SMG, gun stickers, soldier patches and player cards. Additional items and bundles are available in the in-game store.

The Area 51 map includes references to Dead Space. Some easter eggs refer to events and objects from the horror game, while others provide more information about the marker found at the facility.
