Open 77, a multiplayer mod for Cyberpunk 2077, is scheduled to launch Nov. 6 at 10 p.m. UTC. The mod will be free to download, but users must own a copy of the game.

The release is set for 2 p.m. Pacific time and 5 p.m. Eastern time in the United States. Open 77 will add multiplayer activities, including role-playing servers, races and battles against world bosses.

Players will be able to host their own servers or join servers that are already running. Server rules may support different types of player-run experiences, including roles as law enforcement officers, fixers or ordinary residents of Night City.

The Open 77 website includes installation instructions, information about setting up a server and a server browser. Players can use the browser to view available servers before joining them.

Cyberpunk 2077 originally launched as a single-player game. CD Projekt Red later released updates addressing technical problems and introduced the Phantom Liberty expansion. Open 77 will add multiplayer functionality that is not part of the official game.
