Fangtopia launches Oct. 26 on PC, PS5 and Switch 2
Fangtopia, a calm, puzzle-based kingdom builder with a spooky look and no jump scares, launches Oct. 26 on PC (Steam, Epic, Stove), PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2.
Developer Absolutely Games and publisher Secret Mode will release Fangtopia on October 26 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. The PC version will be available on Steam, the Epic Games Store and Stove.
Fangtopia is a tile-placement kingdom builder that combines puzzle mechanics with light city-building. Players place hexagonal tiles to grow islands into connected kingdoms. The game’s art has a spooky aesthetic, and the developers say it avoids jump scares.
Tiles link to form features such as cities, forests and roads. Efficient connections earn more points. Players spend points to unlock landmarks and complete objectives, which reward new tiles and additional design options.
Islands can expand out to eerie portals in surrounding waters. These portals periodically teleport characters and creatures onto players’ tiles, including scarecrows, giants and werewolves. The game records discovered characters and unlocked tiles in a collectible sticker book.
Fangtopia includes multiple modes. Players who want to compete can chase high scores on global leaderboards. Players who prefer a relaxed experience can disable scoring and build without time pressure. Objectives are optional and provide structure for those who want it.
The release brings Fangtopia to desktop and current-generation consoles on October 26, with storefront availability listed for major PC platforms.
