Forza Horizon 6 Coming to PS5 Later in 2026

Playground Games confirmed Forza Horizon 6 will launch on PlayStation 5 later in 2026, following earlier releases on Xbox consoles and PC.

Playground Games announced in a blog post that Forza Horizon 6 will arrive on PlayStation 5 later in 2026, after initial releases on Xbox consoles and PC. The post accompanied notes for a British Automotive update and a new in-game feature.

The studio did not provide a firm release date for the PS5 edition. The blog post read: “If you’re planning on diving into our take on Japan on PS5, stay tuned.” Playground Games first revealed the title in 2025 and initially listed Xbox consoles and PC as launch platforms.

The update makes the Drift Attack mode a permanent feature. Players can unlock a 1990 Jaguar XJ-S Forza Edition, and a Horizon Stadium takeover will include a spin-to-win award that can grant one of three cars: a 2025 Bentley Continental GT Speed, a 2019 Ginetta G40 Junior or a 2006 Vauxhall Astra VXR.

Forza Horizon 6 is set in a stylized version of Japan. Some observers expect more precise timing or a trailer at Tokyo Game Show 2026, where the game appeared last year, but Playground Games has not confirmed plans to present additional details at the event.

A PlayStation release date remains pending. The blog post and the accompanying update notes are the only public confirmations of a PS5 launch so far.
