GTA 6 pre-order loophole debunked: GTA+ bonus limited

A viral Reddit claim that canceling and reordering GTA VI digital pre-orders can stack free GTA+ months is false. Rockstar limits the one-month offer to one redemption per account.

A Reddit post claimed repeatedly canceling and re-ordering digital pre-orders of Grand Theft Auto VI could generate several free months of GTA+. The offer language from Rockstar Games limits the free month to one redemption per Rockstar account.

GTA+ is a paid monthly service for Grand Theft Auto Online, priced at about $7.99 per month. The subscription provides in-game money, discounts and access to a selection of older Rockstar titles. Digital pre-orders of GTA VI include one free month of GTA+, which will automatically renew into a paid subscription unless auto-renew is disabled.

The Reddit theory held that each digital pre-order would trigger a separate free month, allowing an account to collect multiple months before the game’s November launch. Rockstar’s terms state the bonus applies once per account, not once per purchase, so additional pre-orders do not generate more free months for the same account.

Canceling and re-ordering also carries practical risks. The Vintage Vice City Pack, a pre-order bonus, requires an order placed before November 20. Repeated cancellations could forfeit that pack while providing no additional GTA+ months.

If the free month is accepted and auto-renew remains on, the subscription converts to the regular monthly fee after the trial. Players who do not want recurring charges should disable auto-renew in their account settings before the trial ends.

Consumers who prefer to avoid charges can decline the subscription, redeem the single free month when they intend to play and then turn off auto-renew, or choose not to sign up for GTA+ at all.

Rockstar’s published offer language determines eligibility for the free month and prevents the repeated-pre-order approach from producing multiple months on a single account.
