GTA 6 PS5 Download Reportedly Requires 210 GB

Grand Theft Auto 6 will require 210 GB of PS5 storage, with preloading scheduled for Nov. 12 ahead of its Nov. 19, 2026, release.

Grand Theft Auto 6 will require 210 GB of storage on PlayStation 5, according to a listing in Sony’s PlayStation Network database. Preloading is scheduled to begin Nov. 12, one week before the game’s release on Nov. 19, 2026.

The listing sets the Standard Edition’s price at $79.99 and indicates that the game will become available at midnight local time on launch day. Rockstar Games has not confirmed the file size or release-time details.

The reported file size would use nearly one-third of the PS5’s approximately 667 GB of usable internal storage. Players without an expansion drive may need to delete or move installed games before downloading the preload.

At 210 GB, the game’s reported size is twice that of Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar’s previous major release. The figure is consistent with an October claim that a playable build exceeded 200 GB.

No file size has been confirmed for the Xbox Series X|S version. It is expected to be similar, but Rockstar has not announced a storage requirement for either console. Grand Theft Auto 6 is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on Nov. 19, 2026.
