Marvel Contest of Champions adds Towers solo climb mode

Kabam added Towers to Marvel Contest of Champions, a solo climb mode with two variants: Challenge Towers with class and tag restrictions and Class Towers with simpler class limits.

Kabam updated Marvel Contest of Champions with a new solo mode called Towers in its latest game update. The mode presents a floor-by-floor climb in which players must defeat the Champion on each floor to advance and claim rewards.

Towers includes two variants. Challenge Towers apply specific class and tag restrictions that prevent certain Champions from being used on particular floors. Class Towers group floors by class and impose simpler class-based limits on which Champions are eligible for a fight.

Each floor requires players to select a lineup that complies with the floor’s restrictions before the match. Players continue climbing until they stop or the rewards no longer justify further attempts. The restriction rules can block individual Champions or entire groups defined by class or tag.

The update also adds two new Champions, Phyla-Vell and Shatterstar, as part of a broader focus on cosmic and mutant characters. Kabam is offering a new player bundle tied to the X-Men ’97 crossover that grants twenty X-Men Champions to accounts created before July 6.

Additional events run alongside Towers. A Pride Month event called Sparkle and Shade runs through June and includes exclusive titles and profile images. The Champion’s Workout Routine event runs through June 24 and provides Relic rewards. Kabam has published in-game codes intended to help players access rewards and begin engaging with the new mode.

Towers joins existing solo and multiplayer activities in Contest of Champions. The mode’s restrictions change which Champions can be selected for specific fights, requiring players to build and use a broader portion of their rosters to meet those limits.
