Monster Hunter Outlanders lands on mobile Oct. 29

Monster Hunter Outlanders launches worldwide on mobile Oct. 29 as a full third-person spinoff that preserves the series’ fast, combo-driven combat and adds accessibility options.
Monster Hunter Outlanders will launch worldwide on mobile on Oct. 29, delivering a full third-person spinoff that recreates the franchise’s real-time hunting gameplay and combo-driven combat.
The game is a Capcom property developed by TiMi Studio Group. Outlanders uses the series’ established systems: players explore varied biomes, track monsters, prepare for encounters, and engage in real-time battles using weapon and armor loadouts. Timing and deep combat mechanics remain central to the design.
TiMi says controls and systems have been adapted for touchscreens. The studio has released gameplay footage and developer commentary showing how encounters, pacing and input have been adjusted for mobile devices while keeping core combat mechanics intact.
Developers included accessibility options to help new players learn the game’s mechanics. Those options are presented as ways to lower the entry barrier without removing the strategic elements of tracking, preparation and tactical fighting.
Series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto issued a message to fans ahead of launch, addressing the team’s approach to keeping the franchise’s core identity on mobile hardware.
Monster Hunter has a history on portable consoles and earlier mobile iterations. Outlanders is the franchise’s first dedicated third-person entry built specifically for mobile platforms, positioned to offer a mobile-native version of the franchise’s action-adventure gameplay.
The game will be available globally through standard mobile distribution channels on Oct. 29, providing long-time players access to familiar mechanics and guided options for players new to Monster Hunter.
